What are activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily livings (IADLs)?
According to Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, activities of daily living (ADLs) are activities related to personal care. They include general hygiene like bathing or showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating.
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living are activities related to independent living. They include preparing meals, shopping for groceries or personal items, performing light housework, and assistance in using a telephone.

– Has passed a physical exam, 10-panel drug test, and multiple background checks
– Is regularly supervised and evaluated
Every 6 months and as needed, an in-service/ orientation conforming to DOH regulation that reflects the latest industry standards will be provided to all active home health aides. Plus, ATD provides RN in-person supervision periodically to HHAs to ensure the quality of care.
